With 30 years of automotive industry experience, our founder Dwayne Saunders recognized the need for providing auto repair through a different lens. After a brief trial-and-error business model, he opened Genuine Automotive & Diesel in Austin, Texas, in 2019. The concept of superior auto services and repairs and real customer care makes perfect sense to us, but it was so novel to our local clientele that customers voted to include “genuine” in the shop’s name. You’ll find us convenient to multiple major roads (between I-35, the MoPac Expressway, and Wells Branch and Scofield Ridge Parkways) at 13806 Turbine Drive Austin, TX 78728. We welcome walk-ins Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. To ensure quick access to a service/repair appointment, you can reserve your time using our online scheduler or by calling us at (512) 866-0212.

  1. What they won’t tell you is that when something happens, they are meant to know exactly what it is and if they do anything, find out that was not the problem, they have to fix that on them as they are meant too know exactly what was originally wrong. This is why you pay more

  2. Another scam is “free oil changes for the first year” but then they tell you its only at 7500k intervals. Uhhh yeah if your trying to sludge your engine, sure that’s a great idea. Pay for every other oil change, and stay at 5k intervals.

  3. I had a dealership give me a steal on an oil change package as long as I did them on their schedule… I had to prepay for 3 and preschedule them. I took it and didn’t make mileage between oil changes but the price was hell of a deal. They tried to upsell me on stuff but I declined every time. I never went back to the dealership after the 3rd oil change. The dealer DOES charge a little bit less for oil changes than Valvoline IOC but they will always try to con you into getting another service or they will keep you there several hours. I’ll pay more for faster service.
