Replacing a blown Head Gasket can be difficult and expensive. Sometimes your car is not worth fixing and this is where a head gasket sealer in a bottle comes in handy. Do these head gasket sealers actually work? How long do they last? How do they work? What does a bad head gasket look like? Do head gasket sealers clog radiators?

In this video I show you how to use a head gasket sealer to repair the head gasket and test it for 2yrs and 10,000 miles. I then tear down the engine and show you how the headgasket failed, how the sealer worked, and if the radiator got clogged up with sealer.

  1. So it was brought to my attention that my house phone number is on the oil analysis sheet. I am waiting for YouTube to blur it so in the meantime, please dont call it…

  2. I am a shop owner. I have been a Mechanic for almost 30 years and shop owner for over 20 years. DO NOT EVER USE ANY over the counter head gasket sealers. replace the head gasket(s). Head gasket sealers cause many more problems from plugged heater core and radiator, to clogged and sticking thermostats. there is also a lot more cost associated with the repair. Typically a head gasket repair job will cost double the normal cost, if anyone has used a sealing chemical. generally speaking, an engine that could be salvaged by changing the head gasket and resurfacing a head, often causes more damage than repairable and you’ll need a complete engine. Costing thousands more. this stuff is to be used only in an emergency situation. you’re on the road and a long way from home and you just need to get home. Don’t use this stuff..

  3. I put K-Seal Ultimate in my 1990 Ford E-350 motorhome that appeared to have a leaky water pump. Even with it not running was leaking, I added the k seal 16 oz to a water jug and added water shook it up added to radiator put more water in jug to get rest of chemicals out and too off radiator, so far so good, it stopped/slowed instantly within 5 minutes haven’t had another leak yet only a few days in will update
