  1. Wow my expedition just stopped and I have that same fuel pump and I bet that’s what wrong it’s 5 years old

  2. Fuel system issues suck. Bad pumps, bad filters, bad fuses, bad relays, bad who knows what……. So many issues over the past 3 years….

  3. I’ve gone through 2 now and 3rd has now failed of the cheap Chinese fuel pumps. They having failed in from 25 to 1000 miles each, having cleaned tank each time and changed filter (filter lines aren’t cheap, the same price as the Chinese fuel pump). The third one in now I’ll be changing out, the fuel gauge reading is also inaccurate besides pump having failed not building enough pressure. One thing you may be able to do to save a lot of work, with a angle grinder cut a nice accurate rectangular hole in floor over fuel pump (if you are able and have the space between put a thin sheet of sheet metal or large oven cookie sheet over tank between body and tank so the hot metal shavings stay off tank (you could also use heavy duty tin foil), when finished use a strong magnet and air hose to clean the whole area of shavings), With the cutout piece I made a door with a long hinge on one side and support all around. With it right over the pump I can change pump and filter easy in about an hour with doing a good cleaning of the whole area, then testing and putting things back together. This last one in now needing to be changed out, is one of 3 more (with multi-purchase discount $65 total with tax). This has been the worst one, it has failed in the first 25 miles of operation but vehicle ran strong just after install. Its still pumping but not building enough pressure. Prime the fuel rail by turning the key on and off about 30 times the vehicle will try to start but just spuders from lack of fuel.
