I wanted to give my quick thoughts on the Gates RPM Kevlar belt, vs the traditional Gates HD Green Belt. At first, I wanted to blame the RPM belt for the failure, but it appears it wasn’t as easy to blame as I thought.
Definitely have a bent tensioner or damages pulley somewhere.

Shredded a green Gates on my lightning. It’s becoming difficult to find a suitable solution unless you go with a 10 rib setup
Gates is trash
Is the belt rubbing against it a self coming off the blue pulley. It looks like no clearance between the belts going around!
So what did the problem end up being?
I been running gates racing blue since 2013 in 2006 corolla 1zzfe.
