  1. God bless you, bought a MAF cleaner and clean the sensor even that doesnt look dirty, I noticed after mounted back that idle is more smooth, no trepidations anymore, more response in 3’d sift.10$ well spent it !Thanks again !

  2. Amhed, I tried your MAF test on our 2008 Highlander and it passed just fine (calc load went right up to 100 at full throttle). However, I was still getting a lean condition affecting LTFT and fuel economy. I recently followed a scan tool trace of rpm and MAF data and found that the MAF would sporadically jump between 2.3g/s and 5g/s at idle (700rpm) as well. It would have made sense to me that the MAF sensor reading should increase as rpm rises. However, the MAF seemed to increase even though the rpm stayed the same. The LTFT remains high (anywhere from +20 to +28), but if I increase the throttle just a little to raise the MAF, the LTFT instantly drops to something reasonable. It’s almost as if the computer doesn’t trust the MAF and uses a rich LTFT setting anytime the throttle is closed. Something strange is going on here and I suspect there could be something additional I can look at to help diagnose the MAF besides the calculated load at full throttle.
