Why You Should be Upgrading Your UCA's

Lots of people talk about Upper Control Arms when it comes to lifting your truck, but not everybody really understands what they actually do. We wanted to try and clear the air around UCA’s and help you know WHY you should look at UCA’s for your Toyota, as well as which Upper Control Arms would be best for you and your build: SPC? Total Chaos? Delta Joints? Rubber bushings? What’s the best for your build?

  1. I just picked up a 98 Tacoma. The frame was never replaced, so I found one on FB marketplace virtually rust free.

My goal is to build a rock solid truck that I can go camping in, drive down the freeway, blast down some shitty ass dirt roads, and haul my fireworks trailer.

As far as a lift goes, I want nothing more than 2-3″ of lift, I will keep the 31.5 tire size. I may do a little mudding along with an aggressive trail. No rock crawling or serious baja. (I live in Wisconsin?

After watching countless vids, reading, etc, my brain could seriously use an edible or two😂

It has to be dependable & rock solid. I have to be able to travel in it as well. Wifey loves our road trips!

Since all the suspension will be new, I have considered just buying a “kit” I have looked at ICON, Bilstein etc etc etc.

Since your a Toyota shop, please tell me what you would run? What kit or how would you assemble your own kit?

  2. On a 2024 Ford Raptor, would you recommend replacing the stock UCA’s and coil overs? I do take it offroading semi aggressively

  3. This is a great video! I do have a question, on my 21 Tundra I’m going to lift the front 3 in and the back 2 in. I’m using Bilstein 5100s. Can you recommend, if possible, of UCAs? I live in Northeast Pennsylvania, the Poconos.

  4. Recommendation for something that will hold up to ripping across fire roads/logging roads. The plan is to install falcon sport or sport tow/haul suspension in spring 26 and a set of UCA’s.

  5. I put RC 2in leveling strut on nissan titan, should i change UCA? I be hearing u still safe with factory.
